discoveries

I adore watching babies make discoveries. There is nothing more beautiful than the look of wonder in a baby's eyes as the recognize something new. It just never gets old watching each child make their own discoveries.

John has found his hands and fingers and is starting to learn how to make use of them. His toes were a really exciting discovery and he finds them nearly each time he gets his diaper changed.

His most recent discovery is his tongue. I don't remember the girls discovering their tongues. John is hilarious! He has a really long tongue and experiments wiht sticking it out in all sorts of directions. Love it!

Ahhh....I think that is one of the best parts of parenting. And the older kids also love watching the little ones discover all sorts of new (and sometimes bad) things. Kids are just plain fun. Most of the time, at least.

i love it! I get to see my kids discovering their sense of humor lately, it is so fun! Chet is teaching them how to be funny...and 20 bad "why did the___cross the road?" jokes later...they're STARTING to get it
