We had a really good summer! And I didn't get around to telling you anything about it.
I think we really did have a honeymoon with the new John added to our family. The first couple months we were all in awe of just how cute and sweet it is to have a new baby in the house. The girls loved kissing him and taking turns holding him and cuddling with mom while she was trying to nurse.
And although we didn't keep the tradition of taking each of our newborns on a camping trip, we did do some other fun things.
{Happy Space Needle Dance}
Yeah. The line was an hour and a half long. And that was a conservative estimate.
Lucy fell asleep on the way there and was pretty clingy the entire time, but Britton was totally into the whole excursion. There was lots of cool live music going on all over the park.
And it was a beautiful day, so we thought we'd let them go in the fountain. Too bad it makes a cannon sound and scared our kids from going anywhere near the water.
They did like the little carnival at the Seattle Center. They are pretty fearless when it comes to carnival rides. We went to a local festival and they would have rode all of the rides if we had the money (crazy expensive for little podunk festival rides! What's up with that?). But they are very naughty bumper car drivers. They hopped out of their car just after this picture was taken and the poor carnie had to chase after them and wouldn't let them finish their ride afterwards. It's interesting.
Can you read the sign? It says "Omelettes bigger than your freakin' head". And they certainly are. And inside is even more colorful than their reader board. Because you get to color!
And I don't think many children attend this joint, because there was not a child's drawing anywhere near our seat, and all of the walls were plastered with local omelette eater's pictures.
But the food was good. And the place was cramped. I don't suggest trying to nurse there. Especially if you are sitting next to a table of twenty something gamers... And the waitress was fabulous.
All in all Beth's was a little quirky, just like me.
And our day in Seattle was pretty fun.
Too bad our babymoon is over, and I am struggling to figure out just how to handle all three of these kids at once. AND I just read my Patriarchal blessing again, you know, the part about daughters and SONS. Hmmmmm..........

you are so awesome. You are beautiful in that picture with Lucy :)
I'm always here! Just wanted to let you know.
I'm bummed summer is over. I'm still trying to ignore that fact and keep going outside anyways. It's been great. I need all the VitD I can get so I don't go craaaazy this winter. I love that you had a "babymoon" OH! idea: you should start a Bethionary!
Love it! :) The picture of you and Lucy is precious. Maybe we will stop in Beth's sometime - I just go to Sally's Beauty Supply and call it good. I know, I'm dorky....
I've always wanted to try Beth's Cafe....lucky.
And when Aaron gave Blake his baby blessing, he said something about "brother's and sister's". So far it's just brother's.
Ooo..where is Beth's?
Hey - that means one more and you're DONE, right?
Actually, Beth, what you're doing now is totally the hardest parenting ever (until your kids start dating - but that's different). I have six kids, but even when Tony is out of town, I can go to the grocery store BY MYSELF. My kids can clean and cook and change diapers...even if they'd rather not. It's a totally different experience, so just hang in there another....8...years. :)
