You start with rags like this, and make a really cute flower with very little effort,

Oh, wait. Britton didn't want to show it off. Which is weird, she loves getting her picture taken, and anything girly.
So, this is what it looks like:
Lucy wasn't really into it either.
So, because I really wanted to show off the cute flower headband that I made all by myself with a piece of scrap and thread, and the girls didn't want anything to do with it, I went and prettied myself up just for a blog post!
Plus, those two cute girls who love anything girly massacred my makeup collection for good a couple months ago, and I just barely replaced it two days ago. I never thought that I'd miss makeup so much, but these mid pregnancy blahs are really depressing, especially when I feel huge and yucky and can't even pretty up my face.
So, here is the before:
Sorry about the dirty mirror.
Here's the pretty flower:
And here's the new look:
I need some sun! These are the lightest products they had. Sigh. Does it still look okay?

You will have to show me how to make those flowers, I have lots of scraps of material. Madelynn would love to learn too.
Way cute! When are you due again? Probably soon enough that camping would be out of the question this summer??
You look great! I love your flower too! I came up with a name for that blog and the idea has morphed a bit, we need to chat. I will be calling in the next few days, Love you! Miss you!
Do you look OK? You look hot! And your flower is darling! Did Tony call James? If not tell James to call Tony about the car. Your bookshelves look so nice, just what you lr needed! Love Ya
You look beautiful. It looks just right. I twas great to see you today, hopefully we can do it again soon
It looks very cute...the flower and the new makeup! What colors did you get? I thought MK just came out with something lighter than ivory 1?
Oh, and Tony was saying that you can negotiate with your insurance (though I'm not sure to what degree) over how much you get for your totalled car.
I love the flower:) Your cute, uncooperative children made me smile.
Don't worry about the book. I really don't need another book. You can keep it or pass it on to somebody else.
Hey Beth, You won the headband give-away at I Am Momma. Shoot me an e-mail with your address and which headband you want. You can also wait till Monday if you want to see the hard headbands. Congrats!
With or without makeup, I've always thought you are a head turner!! I can relate to the whole feeling like frump girl when you're pregnant, though. But at least you're one of those super cute pregnant gals!
You're very pretty all "prettied up". ;)
And I hope the post will be a tutorial on how to make our own headbands!
I think I am going to try to make these... good craft for during my recovery.... sit on couch and make flowers... We will see!
