It has been the summer of reading and losing teeth for Britton.

{She could live in this dress.  And sometimes I let her, but only for a day or two.}

Britton's reading skills really started taking off towards the end of her Kindergarten year.  By July we were taking road trips and Britton would read aloud her favorite comic strips with such great animation, she had us all laughing.

Last week she lost her fifth tooth.  It was so little and cute!  And this week she read 5 Magic Tree House books.  I'm not kidding.  She read her first MTH book on Sunday, and was begging for more on Friday afternoon.  So we went to the thrift store and got 20 more on Saturday, and she get's to earn them.  I'm just hoping she'll look forward to some of my old childhood favorites.  I don't know anything about Magic Tree Houses, although I'm learning.  But ask me about The Trumpet of the Swan or Charlotte's Web and I could tell you stories.

My favorite was Nancy Drew. However, I think she may be a couple of years away from that still. Love the readers!

You could always read those ones to her at bedtime. That's always fun. Peter Pan too - so funny!

James is definitely not there yet with reading...I haven't had a lot of early, avid readers....but they grow into it.

My boys introduced me to MTH. I like them a lot...maybe they'll get into historical fiction one day. :o)
