miss becca and the zoo

Becca came to visit from Washington DC for our Birthday week!  She wanted to keep it a surprise for my parents, so she made me promise not to tell about a month ago, but it turned out to be a little more surprising for her.  My parents went on a last minute romantic getaway, and she got to spend a little more time with me and the kids.  I was so glad I kept her secret!

One of the items on her agenda was the zoo, and somehow she got the sun to come out for our trip.  It was amazing, the one fantastically beautiful day all week.

On our trip there was a lot of child holding.

Becca couldn't even push the stroller with nobody in it.  Her decision to wait to have kids was reaffirmed after seeing me carrying John and pushing the stroller with the other hand.  I don't blame her.

Britton was our guide.  She was quite good at the map reading.

And Aunt Danyell got to hold everybody while they tried to feed the birds, because she is quite literally a foot taller than me.

And who can resist a boat?  Not us.

Everybody loves a visit with Aunt Becca, especially since she likes going to the zoo and watching cartoons with us.

Brave was fun (as soon as we were out of the theater.  While we were watching, the girls were freaking out and crying to leave).
