These tulips are little tiny and there are a few big clumps of them. Anyone know how to separate these puppies? I want to share their cuteness for next year. Wednesday, April 6, 2011
spring is in the air
There was a brief bout of sun last week! I miss it. A lot. Until then, check out all the sweet random flowers that have been popping up all over are yard! John and I had fun going around taking pictures.

The plant in question looks like it might be a basil plant. Definately a keeper!!!
The tulips can be dug up after the plants have died back. The tulip farmers in Skagit County cut off the spent blooms so the plant doesn't waste energy trying to make seeds. Instead all of its strength will go into making a bigger bulb.
