the cookie project

At our wedding, all of our guests brought us cookies and recipes for their cookies. I don't know who's idea it was, but it was wonderful. And there were loads of yummy cookies, even a spearmint one. It tasted a little like gum.

Anyway, we've been married for quite a while now and haven't tried out any of them. Until last month when we started the cookie project. We're trying them all out now and they are wonderful! These cookies are 10 cup cookies. A cup of butter (I used crisco), white sugar, brown sugar, flour, oatmeal, raisins, chocolate chips, nuts, coconut, peanut butter, three eggs, and a little bit of baking soda and powder. My mom used to make cookies like these when I was a kid. She called them cupboard cookies. Either way, they are delicious, and I highly suggest them.

We've also had the cookie scoop and mixing bowl since we got married, but we've used them so many times that I have a double chin.

What are your favorite cookie recipes?

Where are you hiding your double chin?...because I've never seen it.

....um....how much baking soda and powder?

What a fun idea! I wouldn't have such a cool background story as to where my recipes came from if I did this, but it sounds like so much fun. And what a fun memory you'll have of actually trying them out. Keep sharing...yes, yes, yes!

I like plain old chocolate chip cookies about 4 minutes after they come out of the oven. And ditto to what Cindy said. :)
