Call them Choux de Bruxelles and cook them Julia style Etuves a la Creme. And a pregnant women may or may not eat only her Brussells sprouts and forget about the other yummy food on her plate.
The only problem is that to get a yummy Julia meal, you have to follow her endless steps. These Brussells sprouts were stemmed, crossed, washed, blanched, braised (in butter), and creamed (with boiling heavy whipping cream...)
You should try it. When you get the time.

Ah yes... but isn't that why we love Julia? She cares so much about the dish.
Sounds time-intensive and yummy. I demand you cook us some! We just make our kids eat them. It's mean, but Tony and I already like brussel sprouts - just plain.
I adore sprouts. Occasionally I have then finely sliced and flash-fried with little strips of smoked bacon. Yum. Cro.
Nobody should eat brussel sprouts. They are slimy and disgusting.
