pineapple week

So, we Tunnells love two things (for this scenario at least): pineapple and a good deal. And while browsing Costco's lines of large products, we happened upon their industrial size cans of fruits and vegetables for two and three dollars. Score for food storage!

Except what do you do with that much produce when we pretty much feed three people?

Pineapple week!

So far we have had (mostly) fresh fruit salad and Green Goddess smoothies.

Green Goddess smoothies?

Why yes they are green. And to emphasize just how yummy green smoothies can be, Lucy just knocked over Britton's cup and is sucking it off the table. Let me go clean that up.

Okay, so I got the idea of Green Goddess smoothies from Sarah. Here's her recipe. I tweaked mine a little bit because I don't like bananas in smoothies.

1 shredded carrot
2 handfulls of spinach
Lots of pineapple with juice (about cup and a half to two cups)
6 oz yogurt any flavor

Blend and enjoy.

Next stop: Pineapple pizza and Hawaiian Haystacks!

Costco is the best. The last few times we have been there we have able to find fresh pineapple for way cheap. Jared is such a picky eater, but he will USUALLY eat that. Pineapple is great.

Yummy...I'm drooling over your pinepple descriptions :) Hopefully everything turns out super good. Yeah for food storage---I have a lot of beans and veggies I need to start using...
