Moving back home, I was so excited to bring the girls to the pumpkin patch I went to as a kid. It was the ultimate pumpkin patch experience! A giant pumpkin gave everybody a cookie at the entrance to a barn where a witch shared a story about thieving mice and a truce that the farmer made with them. After that, all the children were escorted through a really cool tunnel that the adults couldn't fit through and then shown to the petting zoo. And after all that you get to pick out a pumpkin in the biggest field of pumpkins imaginable; like the size of twelve football fields. This is my childhood memory after all. Unfortunately I am a procrastinator. So last night when I was looking up this farm, I was dismayed to find that you have to now make reservations for storytime, and the cookies are no longer free with you pumpkin purchase. The farm still looked cool, but we found out that there was an equally cool farm closer to where we now live, and their hayrides were free!

They did have attack pigs. Scared Britton silly, because they had a little candy machine filled with pig feed. She doesn't like her fingers nibbled.

Don't you just want to kiss those adorable little cheeks!

I think the field may have been bigger. They had a pumpkin cannon that shot pumpkins the length of three football fields. It was pretty entertaining.

a good sitting place

how fun. That looks like a pretty big field. I bet you guys had fun.
Your family looks great! We took Jonathon to a pumpkin patch in Bmore, but there are none around here that I know of, unless you count the mini-knee high hay maze at Broulims, where walk through to pick a pumpkin.
I love these pictures! They make me feel so fallish. Some of my best childhood memories involve a pumpkin patch too. Happy Autumn!
SOOO MUCH FUN! You are so right. I do need to get out and do that w/my lil men! :) I don't have your number, but I would love to hang out sometime. November the 8th at 7 pm I'm having a "mary kay" party. I know... I have NO idea how I got trapped into doing that since I hate giving parties like that... but anywho- come and enjoy! :)
Love Nichole
I love the pictures. I'm not able to access you blog regularly. I have to back door it by going through the messages that you post on mine. I don't know if you need to add me to your list or what. We miss you guys so much. It looks like things are going great for you and your baby is growing so much. Love it.
I really like the picture of Britton sitting on the pumpkin. Don't kids just make anything look cute?!
