This summer was hot. Hot all the way into September. I don't mind 90 degree weather, but when we reach 100 we all pretty much become dried out slugs. Slow moving Tunnells.
But Lake Easton is like a haven. It's a little bit cooler than Ellensburg, because it's about 45 minutes away and in the mountains, and since it's up in the mountains, the water is real cold.
The first picture of the girls is before they got in the water and became little balls of energy. They had to let their sunscreen dry first. Britton had the hardest time waiting to get in the water, but it's hard to keep that girl down. She gets angry fast, but it never lasts long.
After that everyone had lots of smiles.
Nora was the only one who found sand delicious. We all think it's gross, but she's so cute, we let it slide.
And then we played baseball. Baseball and running are becoming our sports. John loves baseball. One day he cried at the thriftstore because we didn't buy him a glove.
And we are all working on running. My kids aren't the best trainers, but they do get one thing right, they love to get out of the house and started. So far Lucy has the best endurance.
