Every day seems busy. But Tuesdays just got busier. Britton and Lucy have piano lessons, and now the homeschool coop that we belong to has moved to Tuesdays as well. The location has changed as well. Now we meet in an the old Oddfellow's building downtown. It just looks like a side door, but when you get up the stairs (and past the musty smell), it is this amazing building with high ceilings and fantastic wood work and quite a few original light fixtures and curtains. Most of the moms have agreed that the Oddfellows should ask their wives to help them out a bit.
This quarter the girls are taking an animal science class. They seem to be excited about it. And they came out remembering the difference between mammals and amphibians, so that's good. It didn't seem especially exciting, because Britton had also drawn a fairly impressive lion while she was supposed to be listening.
John walked around downtown with some friends.
And Nora took a nap.
Then we went home and turned on the sprinkler, because it was 71 degrees and not too windy. My kids have low standards. Basically, when the sun is out, they put on their swimsuits. They were so happy to get the okay for the sprinkler.
And then they played with play dough for a couple hours while I finished reading them Pippi Longstocking.
And Nora took a nap.
It was a good day.

Sounds nice. I'm trying to make us less busy...but I'm not very good at it. My only consolation is that Sarah is probably worse. ;)
...and I'm not sure that this baby will ever be sweet and nap-y like Nora. Right now I think his favorite thing to do is a dance that involves throwing your elbows and knees around a lot. Jonny does a great impression of what we think it looks like.
How could a trampoline, sprinklers, and your mother reading Pippi Longstockings be anything other than a wonderful day for a kid. Keep up the good work.
