a very big birthday

Grandma Becky had a big birthday last weekend. It doesn't look like a very big birthday, and the party really wasn't. But she didn't want a big party. 

What she really likes is dessert. 

And I know just what she likes best. Decadence for each decade. 

Everyone made her something. I think Britton's "Book of Books" took the cake. 

Lucy painted the colorful vase next to the cake in her crafting class. And I made her a hot pad shaped like a cupcake. (And it only took a year to finish. I'd say that's a win)

Nora even smiled for her! She doesn't do that for everybody. 

Lucky for Loralei, John really enjoys her company. 

Happy birthday, Mom! I hope this next decade is fantastic.
