John started it.
I accidentally introduced him to Thomas on his first birthday. And, well, there has been a lot of train viewing, building, reading, cuddling (he really likes sleeping with a toy at night), driving, crashing, and smashing since then.
But we all kind of enjoy building the tracks.
I just hate to see a dead end some where on the line.
And maybe it get's a little out of hand.
We have contemplated getting a train table, but two things hold us back: we haven't been able to find the really excellent Pottery Barn train table on Craigslist, and
we like big tracks, and we cannot lie. None of our tracks would ever fit on a train table. Who are we kidding?
Plus, we have a dragon suit for Godzilla videos.
I'm uploading interviews with the cast right now. It's kind of hilarious. John stayed in character the entire time. Except he was tired of the dragon head.

Beth, what train set do you have? I'm shopping one for Ivie. Is it Melissa and Doug? I want to make sure we find one with tracks that link up solidly.
you guys have some pretty fabulous actors at your house! Keep the videos coming. :)
We had a train table. Jon would sit on it and play trains...just like you'd sit on the floor and play...so I wouldn't bother. ;)
That was truly my all time favorite Godzilla movie!
