my apologies...

to an imaginary thief.  My camera was in the dung heap.

So check it out, we went to the Tri-Cities (well, two of them)  on Saturday. For a cousin's wedding.  And we came home on Saturday, too.  It's only a 4 hour drive there.  So I was super prepared for Father's Day this year ;)

The bride was absolutely lovely.  Her dress was fantastic, and she even seemed to be posing when she threw her bouquet.

Which my sweet 8 year old niece caught.

Just being with family in a sunny environment made all of that driving worthwhile.

Lucy and Lilly are such good friends, and so much alike.  They're nearly impossible to capture for a good picture.

Britton and Elise are a little easier.  There are always squeals of delight when Britton hears that she gets to see Elise, and then when they actually see each other.

Everyone was given balloons, instead of rice, for the bride and grooms farewell.

And then they were let free.  I think John wanted his back.

And after the wedding we still had time for dipping our toes in a little wading pool that Grandma Linda went to when she was a girl.  We weren't actually going to get our clothes wet.

I didn't take any pictures of the car, where we spent most of our time (note: dung heap)  And took lots of pictures of the sunshine.  It was 98 degrees while we there.  Such a lovely change.

Love that picture of Elise and Britton. It sounds like a fun weekend. It's steadily 95 and over here. Too hot for anything other than swimming...or chillin' in the air conditioning.

I am so glad you found your camera. That would really give you a scare though. Glad you could enjoy some sunshine. :)
