oh my ganache

Grandma Becky's birthday was last week, and she didn't forget about the delightful cake that James made me for my birthday.  This time we tried whipping the ganache for a filling and then pouring the delightful stuff all over the top.

And when I say 'we,' I mean 'me'.  James decided he didn't want to bake the cake again.  Something about not wanting to start taking up a new hobby or something like that.

Her little party was very sweet.  Lots of fun family memories reminisced with Nana and Uncle Chase and Grandma and Grandpa.  And funny seeing Grandma's reaction when we mentioned where the chicken in her chicken tetrazzini came from.  "I met that rooster twice!"  Luckily, she'd already had a nice big serving, so she didn't go hungry.
