Spring hasn't made it to Western Washington yet. We hear that some other people can see sunshine sometimes. Mostly, it's just the time of year we start looking at climate charts and preparing to move to those sunnier places.
But occasionally we get creative and try out something new to break the monotony of all of this gloom and rain. Today it was makeup, candles, firelight, fancy dresses, and fancy food. We turned out the lights and just had fun being extra fancy.
The fun is really in all of the preparations. Putting on whatever makeup they want is the girls dream. And as much as they want! They were definitely into this adventure. How do you like our veggie butterflies? Britton's is harder to recognize, because she likes cucumbers so much she thought she'd take the whole thing. Never fails, one cucumber for Britton, and one for the rest of us.

Love this post! It was great. I agree with Britton. I'll eat a cucumber in one setting. They're just so darn good!
One day John wears lip gloss, the next he'll want his nails painted too. ;)
