Here are some of the projects we've been working on:

Now our house has camoflage, just in case it wants to blend in with the rhodedendrons.
Do you think it would look better with some cedar shingles on the triangular top part? And if we took down the old cable antenae?

James is building a fence in the back yard to replace the old rotten one we took down when the chipper came to visit.

Isn't it cute? I have dreams of having sweet flowers entwined in it, but James is trying to convince me that no plants are supposed to be close to fences (or houses, or garages...) How do you suppose I can convince him otherwise? Because I really really like our yard full of lots of interesting and pretty plants. And he just wants grass!
We've also put up some crown molding! But I forgot to take pictures, so you'll have to wait. Besides, I still haven't hung pictures in our living room... But it will happen before the big party.

Happy Birthday to your house! What a fun place to live! I love the fence...and yes, I think some vines growing in it would be lovely. Good luck convincing James. Jason would side with him hands down. :)
love your house color and love the fence beth. When I'm mowing sometimes I wish all we had was grass...sorry
I love your house Beth! It's so cute and you are doing such a great job turning it into your home. :) I showed Josh the flyer I brought home and he is all excited and has been doing some research all afternoon. :)
What a cute little fence. I agree with you on adding some nice climbing plants. Honeysuckle or clematis could climb nicely without turning into anything obnoxious.
