Being pregnant has gotten me a few things: emotional, large, acne (yep, hadn't realized just how much more oil was produced during pregnancy until every face wash stopped working. I went through about five. Now I've resorted to honey, which seems to be helping out my messy faced woes a lot, try it sometime. I bet it's good for all sorts of skin problems, like those little wrinkles creeping up around my eyes. I really hope that the honey helps those out).
Now that the first trimester sleepy nausea woes are mostly gone, I'm back into home project gear. I'm ready to decorate! Note: There is nothing hanging on any walls, except where there were preexisting nails. Actually, just one little bird related item in my kitchen...
But we have an affordable, and hopefully adorable plan for our long awaited bookshelves. I just have to finish painting that dang trim! Something like these shelves I found at the Lettered Cottage. Just think books, and more substantial, and longer. It could be good, right?
We've been gardening like crazy! Doesn't Lucy look like a good little digger? She's not, but Britton isn't too bad. She just always wants to attack our lawn and not the dirt or ivy.
And I've recently come into ownership of some tables that could use a little help. What do you think? Are those funky modern legs salvageable?
Before
Don't they look like fun little bistro tables? Should I keep the legs silver? Now I've just got to go find myself some free chairs to match!
And I haven't decided what to do with these little tables. The finish matches my red floors pretty nicely, but the finish isn't in super good condition. For now I think I'll just pile books on them and call it good.
If they ever get transformed, I'll be sure to show them off!
And on my journeys through the world wide web, I found a pregnancy story that made me smile. I hope that it makes you smile, too.

I love your dream kitchen. It's my dream kitchen too...but I want a divided farm sink. (I hate having one big sink.) Bring your wooden tables over sometime, and, if the weather is fine, we'll refinish them.
