Look how good Lucy is sitting! She's been sitting unassisted for a couple weeks now and steers clear of lying on the floor.
I love Christmas! And Britton is quickly getting into the season, too. This is the first year she has really understood what was going on. What's not to like, right? You get to go to parties and see your friends. Good food. Pretty Princess dresses. And the presents. We've wrapped all of our presents already because Britton thinks it is great fun to wrap presents. We even wrapped my mom's presents. So far she has withstood the temptation to open them. I don't know if she'll last another three weeks, though.
I can hardly wait. I can't stand the anticipation so much that I made James open a pair of shoes that I got him just to see if he liked them. He did. So I wrapped them back up and I guess he'll just have to pretend to be surprised.
He's such a good daddy. With all the silly Christmas stuff going on, and lots of learning about Santa and watching holiday claymations, James has been emphasizing why we celebrate Christmas in the first place. So Britton knows all about baby Jesus. And I think I'll try to get my family to act out the Christmas story on Christmas Eve. Look forward to pictures of my surly 22 year old brother and teenage sister acting out the story because their sweet niece knows how to ask so nicely.
She really does. Lately, Britton has taken to asking whenever she wants to do something she thinks might not be okay, but if she asks a "can I please, can I" to the end of the request she thinks that politeness equals entitlement to whatever she's doing. It's so cute it works sometimes.
Happy Holidays! Hope you guys are all enjoying the season, too.

I love that picture of Lucy. She is such a cutie with that little santa hat! That's pretty funny about Britton "asking" for things. There's never a dull moment when kids are around. Especially during the holidays. I love how magical everything is through their eyes.
Lucy is so cute! That age is so fun, well all ages are fun. It has been fun this Christmas hearing Ethan explain to Amie what it is all about. I love to hear his explanations for her. Merry Christmas to you guys!
