the sweetest part of the day
Today I started thinking about the way I remember things, and it made me sad that I have a harder time remembering all the good times rather than the bad. It made me sad. And it also highlighted how often I journal the hard times, while I forget to give the good times that opportunity. Probably the reason I don't remember them quite so well. So today I am going to put a new foot forward and try to make sure that I remember the good things in life. Like right now, sure it was hard to move the day after Lucy was born, but that isn't what I want to remember. I want to remember her sweet smile, how she is the best little cuddle buggle and has a knack for encouraging anyone holding her to go to sleep. The way Britton loves her little sister. All the funny things she talks about. She wants to get married already. I think she associates marriage with companionship. And I want to remember the sweetest part of my day. At bedtime and naptime we always read a few stories to Britton and then sing her songs. Today, Lucy was wide awake during the naptime ritual, so she lay down next to Britton (who likes any excuse to be near her little sister) and they both looked at the pictures and listened to the stories. Next time we get the batteries charged for the camera, I'll post a picture..

You're a great mom Beth. I agree with you. It's the simple everyday things that make life so sweet.
I started to tear up reading your blog. Its so true. The good things in life can sometimes be pushed aside or not noticed quite as much as the negitive. Brian and I have been working on creating a more positive outlook and taking time to appreciate everything that we do have.
Thanks for your blog.
...oh and on a sidenote, ever since i saw that cute little red head, I HAVE BABY FEVER! thanks a lot!! lol.
That sounds so cute. I think its good to mark the good things down too.
