Lucy's Sleeping

Lucy's sleeping! And I'm not holding her, so I'd thought I'd try my hand at this blog thing. I guess I should do it more often, because it is so much fun showing off all the cute pictures of our little family! Plus, there is so much going. Haven't even gotten to Grandpa and Britton's fishing trip or the Fourth of July. Lucy is still sleeping a ton, but she's grown a ton, too. Not even three weeks old and has gained at least a pound. We'll find out exactly how much tomorrow.

Britton is completely infatuated with her little sister. Lucy is pretty good puting up with all the bouncing and squeally voices and patting, we'ver recently started high fiving her when she opens her hands. I can't wait until she starts interacting a little more. But she's still wonderful to cuddle right now. She has a knack for puting people to sleep...
James just started his new job last Wednesday. He is officially a software engineer at Sonosite. So far, he hasn't actually done a lot of programming. But he seems to be enjoying his time at work.
A benefit not foreseen when James started his job: He and Britton and Lucy appreciate their time together more than ever before. Britton drags him wherever she wants to play as soon as he gets home.

And Lucy gets as much cuddly time as she can get. These two are in the same place right now.

We're beginning to get settled in. The days of living out of the suitcase are over, and the realization of just how much stuff we've misplaced has begun. It's really fun living so close to family. Britton thinks it is especially great to have so many cousins around. She's always asking where her friends are, referring to Abby, Luna, Lance, and Maddy, and sometimes the Romeros, if they've been over to visit lately.

In her spare time, Britton has Abra Cadabra'd herself into a princess. She uses her magic words to turn everyone else into a princess, too. She's even turned me into a Grandma. But I asked her to wait a few years until she does that again. She's pretty obliging. As long as she had her nap on time.

It's so good to hear you're doing so well. You have such a darling family and Lucy is so cute with that red hair! Thank you so much for inviting us into your home. We had a great time getting to know you. I wish we had more time before you moved, but I'm glad you're settled and it's not very far away. We're in Snohomish quite often, so we'll have to get together some time!

HAHAHA! I absolutely love it! :) And yes, Brittain (*sp?) is a princess! I'm glad to hear that she's gone through that huge transition okay. It makes it that much easier for you guys.

I miss you dude! I hear you're coming down for the ward campout? I'll try to stop by Fri. night for a bit, but I'll be in the Tri-cities all day. Give me a "holla" when ever you have time! I'm free after 11 am every day... AND look forward to hearing from ya!

Love ya's
Nichole!

Congratulations you guys! We didn't get a chance to see you before you moved, but Lucy is really cute! Gla that Britton loves her so much. We are hoping that Jared will love his sister too when she comes.

I am so happy to see everyone is doing well. The girls look so happy and James looks tired (I guess it comes with the territory of being a dad and working a new job, Kevin looks tired too). Give the girls hugs for me!

I love the photos! I absolutely want to scrapbook them, and it's not even my family! I'm glad to hear things are going well. I sent you a good old fashion letter in the mail with my phone number if you want to call, should be there soon but the mail-lady comes on foot so it might take a while... ha ha... she also stops to chat as she's dropping of the mail, it's really small town, 1950's around here... I half expect to meet Nancy Drew around the corner and ask her to babysit... But I digress, and I'm not sure how long these comments will let you go... UPDATE again soon! MISS YOU!

That picture of Britton and James is absolutely adorable! I have to agree that nothing is greater than when daddy comes home and everyone runs to him (and away from me) for a little while. "I'm SO glad when daddy comes home!"
