the coolest wedding of the summer

I've always known Rachel can throw a party. Harry Potter with Butterbeer and a potions lab. Not to mention she made each kid brooms (from scotch broom picked by herself... or maybe her dad). And the Twilight parties were always epic, too. She specialized her own mix cds. Photo shoots with the actors, and the food was wonderful.

But this was way better.

And she even knows how to give a great foot popping kiss.

The setting was amazing! Right on the lake.

The trees were decorated with sweet pictures of them as a couple, and when they were younger. Love them for not making us sit through a slide show.

She made all of the cake and pie stands! And she collected sweet white milk glass vases for all of the tables. There must have been a hundred little vases.

And they were filled by sweet little girls and bridesmaids and mother's of the brides.

Didn't Britton look cute? This is before she went for a swim. The lake was all mud unless you paddled out to the middle. So she looked like she was the daughter of the swamp thing when she got out. I tried soaking the dress in bleach. At least she has gotten plenty of good wears out of it.

And she had this adorable frame for people to take pictures with. Isn't Amellia adorable? She made her dress the night before the wedding.

And this is the cutest boy in a tux. I made it (but not the night before) from I am Momma's directions.

Did you happen to notice what the bride and the groom were wearing? Let's see if you can tell what they requested of their guests:

Wait! their clothes didn't change colors! Only the bride and groom wore colors. Everybody else was wearing black and white. It was a fun contrast.

My father in law thought his bee suit suited the theme just fine.

Oh, and to top the party off, Rachel and Chet even brought some extra entertainment. Bouncy houses and paddle boats.

I can't believe I missed the only bouncy-house wedding I'll ever be invited to! Looks like good fun. :)
Maybe I can bribe her into planning receptions for us some day!
Miss you guys.
