4th of July

We took the kids to an AquaSox game for the 4th of July. Here we are before the game. It was bright and sunny for us at the start.

We all had a great time, even John did pretty well. Though I admit, I was much happier after Beth took Lucy and John to IHOP and then smuggled some food back into the game.

At the last game we went to, we sat in the general admission area. This time we had pretty decent seats, so we had a great view of the game (it was a 7-1 victory for the AquaSox).

Though the afternoon was sunny and warm, it sure got cold after the sun went down. Luckily we brought blankets, and the warm food from IHOP didn't hurt either. I enjoyed the fireworks show a lot, but I'm kind of a sucker for dazzling lights and patriotic music.

It was a late night for the kids. The fireworks show started at 10pm. We rolled into our seemingly war-struck neighborhood around 11pm. By that time all the kids were asleep.

nice!!! Sounds like a good time:) We traded a crazy night in Portland for fireworks at home and tons of yummy food. Good times, but Lance did NOT get his fill of fireworks. There's strict laws here on fireworks, so ours were pretty lame

That sounds awesome! Tony and I spent the 4th painting the girl's rooms...but we did see a couple fireworks on our way to buy more painter's tape. :) Yours sounds way better.

Beth...all I can say is that you are beautiful.

Ok, I'll also say that I love the title of your blog and your updates. :)
